Claresholm is owned and operated by Adrian and Russlyn Uizon and Eyzell and Ian Tomas. The Uizon's have been part of the Blackwood team since nearly the beginning, joining the original Claresholm store in September 2019. On June 29, 2026, they took over ownership of the location they helped build from day one.

Brian opened the first Blackwood in Claresholm on August 6, 2019, with a simple idea: a small town deserved a genuinely good cup of coffee and a place worth stopping for. That idea grew into a second location in Fort Macleod.
